Loose or rattling spring within the left side of the oven, if you gently lift/shake it
This extension spring is about 5 inches long (from hook to hook) and 1/8 inch diameter. One hook had broken off when the part failed, and the other hook broke during handling with pliers.
Before opening any electric appliance, ensure it is switched off and unplugged – have multiple safety measures.
At the back, remove 12 phillips head screws around the left, top, and right of the back of the cover
At the left side, remove 2 Torx screws and remove 3 phillips screws underneath the plastic grate.
It can help to slide the oven to the edge of the work area to access the screws underneath without tipping the oven.
At the right side, remove 2 Torx screws and remove 3 phillips screws underneath the plastic grate.
This step is the same as the left side.
Slide the cover up and to the rear of the oven to remove it.
An approximately 4" long (relaxed) extension spring is needed.
A spring diameter up to about 1/4" (shown) can be accommodated.
Several springs can be chained together (shown).
Ensure the spring assembly is stretched/extended somewhat while the door is closed; there should always be some tension on the door.

Extension Springs (Amazon)
These springs have open loops on the end, which are easier to install, but more likely to separate.
Extension Springs (Home Depot)
Each package contains 2 qty 1/4" springs; we needed 4 qty 1/4" springs (2 packages).
We like the closed loops on the spring ends, to prevent springs from separating in the future. These are a little trickier to open up with needle nose pliers, but they should be more secure.
